56. Your Story & Mine

I’ve always struggled with personal growth. Not with the acquisition of new skills or habits, and not in finding ways to do things better than I did before. What I struggle with is how I get so excited when I break down even the smallest wall that was holding me back and I look around and don’t have the type of people to share these victories with that get as excited as I am about the progress.

Now, however, we’re in a new church (more about this in a later post) and the community group we’ve joined already feels like family. These are the type of people that are truly rooting for you and you just can’t doubt their love and care for you. I wish everyone could experience this type of community.

As I mentioned in my last post, I’m changing up the format of the blog and looking to engage more in ways that will allow you and I to have more relevant interactions. Posts will be shorter and I will be sharing things I’m learning from books, movies, conversations, and other things I encounter in my daily life.

In my next post, I will be sharing the lessons I’m learning from a book by Amy Cuddy called “Presence: Bringing Your Boldest Self To Your Biggest Challenges.” This has some data-heavy research in it that made my mind wander, but I wanted to share some of the key takeaways I got from it outside of that. If you want to pick up a copy and give it a read before next week, that would be awesome.

Thanks for joining me on this new journey. I am looking forward to what the future holds for you and me, as well as this blog!

It would be great to hear from my new followers, so if you would like to leave a comment and introduce yourself, I’d love to get to know you!

Until next time,

Michael
